On July 1, 2005, Chris assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer and Senior Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Canada. As CEO, Chris leads a firm of over 5,200 partners and staff who provide high quality, industry-focused assurance, advisory, and tax services for public, private, and government clients.
Chris’election as CEO followed a successful career that began with the firm in 1978. After several years in the Assurance practice, Chris joined Financial Advisory Services (FAS), a practice that is now part of the Canadian firm’s Advisory group where he practiced in the areas of corporate finance, valuations, and large corporate restructurings. Admitted to the partnership in 1987, Chris was appointed National Managing Partner of FAS in 1995. Chris carried this role through the 1998 landmark merger of legacy firms Coopers & Lybrand and Price Waterhouse.
In 2001, Chris was appointed as one of two National Managing Partners, and a member of the National Executive team. As National Managing Partner, he continued to serve clients while co-coordinating PwC’s market-facing agenda, including its industry, line of service, and client segmentation programs across Canada.
