David Court is a Director in the Dallas office of McKinsey and Company. He currently leads the firm's marketing practice on a global basis. Since joining McKinsey in 1983, David has served a wide range of global and domestic companies (including retail, consumer electronics, high tech, and transportation) on a broad range of strategic, organizational and operational improvement initiatives.

David frequently addresses major marketing conferences. He has written articles for The McKinsey Quarterly and Harvard Business Review and led development of the recently released "Profiting from Proliferation". The book is based on research from nearly 50 CMOs at Fortune 500 firms.

David serves on the Board of Directors of Phoenix House of Texas and the Council of Advisors for National Geographic.

David holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar. Prior to joining McKinsey, David worked in brand management at Procter & Gamble.
