Building a Student Support Program
Queen’s School of Business recognizes the need to build strong student support for the Queen's MBA program. The competition for outstanding candidates is fierce worldwide. Students applying to Queen’s, who have the highest GMAT scores in Canada, also earn offers from top Canadian schools and international competitors like INSEAD and Harvard. Each year, Queen’s loses highly qualified candidates because the competition can offer more financial support. According to Scott Carson, Director of the Queen's MBA program, “entrance scholarships eliminate barriers. They create a support system for students who, because of distance or financial limitations, might otherwise be unable to attend our school.” The prestige of an entrance scholarship can also be a very motivating incentive in a student’s selection process.
We are seeking endowed gifts to support our scholarship program, and to help offset rising tuition costs for our students. The interest earned from the endowment fund will be used to offer scholarships in perpetuity. A gift of $115,000 will generate a scholarship valued at approximately $5,000 per year to students for generations to come.
