Who is ComSoc

ComSoc is the largest and most successful business student government in Canada.

The Queen’s Commerce Society (ComSoc) is the undergraduate student government for Commerce Students enrolled in the Queen’s School of Business. ComSoc position-holders are composed of elected officials, appointed officials and officers, chairs and co-chairs of ComSoc committees, and committee members. Appointed members are hired based on their skills, talents, abilities and passion. ComSoc and all of its events are entirely student-run.

What does ComSoc do?

The Queen's Commerce Society is comprised of two main areas: external and internal. The external portfolio consists of 14 conferences and competitions that attract delegates and competitors from across Canada and internationally. A student executive organizes and runs each of these events. The internal committees organize events and services to serve and benefit the student body. The internal side is divided into four commissions that are composed of committees that handle related issues: Academics, Careers & Alumni, Outreach (volunteer/charity opportunities), and Society Activities. In addition, a combination of elected and appointed officials comprise an Assembly that discusses issues of wider scope and makes decisions relevant to the Society. ComSoc plays a major role in the life of a Commerce Student and provides a multitude of opportunities to get involved and hone business and leadership skills, while also providing valuable services and events that contribute to the student experience.

Comsoc Events

With a budget of over a million dollars, ComSoc spearheads a number of events that offer students valuable opportunities for leadership and enrichment. These include:
