Queen’s Public Executive Program is one of the longest-standing executive development programs at Queen’s School of Business, reflecting the special relationship that Queen’s University has enjoyed with the public policy and public service community for over a century. Queen’s people like O.D. Skelton were among the architects of today’s modern public service. Several Queen’s Principals and scholars have been instrumental in the design and structuring of programs, federal-provincial agreements, constitutional negotiations, and the entire process of creating a deeper and stronger democracy at home and abroad.

Many graduates of Queen’s School of Business have chosen the public service as their career, and all levels of government in Canada, including the military, have benefited from their involvement. The best minds and experts from Queen’s and elsewhere have shaped Queen’s Public Executive Program to be a truly enriching career development opportunity. It is our privilege to host a broad cross-section of outstanding public service professionals for this Program.

More than 300 Canadian public-sector organizations have sent managers to Queen's in the past 20 years. In fact, every year more senior public-sector managers choose Queen's Public Executive Program than any other university-based executive program.
