Alfred Davis is an Associate Professor of finance at Queen's School of Business. Teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, Dr. Davis brings his expertise in corporate finance to students in the BCom, MBA and MSc programs. Concentrating on the areas of corporate finance and risk management, Dr. Davis' research is published in numerous academic journals, including the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences and Financial Management. His paper (co-authored with Henri Fouda) entitled "An augmented value at risk approach to risk management" received the best paper in derivative securities award at the 1998 Administrative Science Association of Canada meeting. It also appears in a special September 1999 issue of the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences devoted to risk management. An international teacher and researcher, Dr. Davis has taught finance courses on executive education programs in Kazakhstan and China. He also recently spent time in Budapest where he taught corporate finance in the MBA program at the International Management Centre (IMC), a program run jointly by IMC and Case Western Reserve University. As a consultant, Dr. Davis has worked with a variety of corporate clients in project evaluation and cash management.
