Application Process

  1. Complete the online application and provide a non-refundable application fee of $105 Canadian, payable by credit card.
  2. Provide a statement of your career goals, research interests and a copy of your résumé online.
  3. Provide two academic letters of reference from referees familiar with your academic potential. (Forms and instructions are available online).
  4. Official transcript(s) from all universities attended (2 original copies) should be sent to:

  5. All applicants are required to submit a GMAT or a GRE. Official scores should be sent directly to our office. Use Code 0279 or Q21-QZ-99 for the PhD program. The GRE Code is 0949.
  6. For applicants requiring a TOEFL, scores should be sent directly to our office by Educational Testing Service. Code 0279-01 for the MSc program.

    Applicants who have studied at an English-speaking university for more than one year are exempt from the TOEFL

Eligibility

To be considered for admission, applicants will typically have an A average in their Master’s degree, GMAT or GRE scores above the 85th percentile, outstanding letters of recommendation, and a clear, well developed statement of purpose. Final admission decisions are based on the total applicant record, as well as overall program size and the capacity limits of each field. A minimum score of 600 on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)* is required of applicants whose native languages do not include English.

The Admissions Committee

Once we receive the completed online application, your file will proceed to the admissions committee for review. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis from December to March. However, since our spots fill up quickly, there is no guarantee that we will still have openings in March. Therefore, you are encouraged to complete your application by early February. Applicants are also encouraged to call our office to set up a visit to campus, if possible.
