It is a direct entry program, requiring no previous full-time work experience. Typically, successful candidates will have an undergraduate degree in business. However, candidates with an undergraduate degree in other disciplines may also be eligible, provided they meet certain requirements. Please see our Admissions section for more details.
There are a variety of ways to pursue the Queen’s Master of International Business degree, including the single degree option and several double degree options. Regardless of which option you choose, you will spend a significant portion of the program on the campus of one of our international business school partners, providing a valuable cross-cultural learning experience.
Queen’s utilizes an innovative approach to team based learning that is far more sophisticated than that used in other programs. You will be assigned to a team for the core of the program, and a significant portion of your overall grade is derived from teamwork. A professional Team Coach will work with your team providing regular feedback and guidance that is pivotal to the learning process.

The Single Degree Option enables you to earn a Queen’s Master of International Business degree in 12 months. The program runs from September to August and is structured in three stages. A major, team-based project spans all three stages. The second stage of the program (January – June) is spent on the campus of one of our international business school exchange partners.
If you choose to pursue one of our eight Double Degree Options, you will have the opportunity to earn a second Master’s degree from one of our international business school partners while in the program. Each Double Degree Option is unique in its own right. They vary in duration, admission requirements, courses required, electives offered and the degree that is granted.
