LOCATION
Queen’s is located at the northeastern end of Lake Ontario in the historic city of Kingston, midway between Toronto, Ontario and Montreal, Quebec. Like Queen’s, Kingston is proud of its past but thrives on a dynamic present. With a population of 146,000, the city is a regional centre of culture, business and industry. Kingston is home to many restored historic sites, Royal Military College of Canada, National Defense College, St. Lawrence College, several major hospitals associated with Queen’s and one of the world’s best freshwater sailing areas.
Students who attend Queen’s University will enjoy being within walking distance of fabulous shopping, patios and restaurants. They will also be able to shop at the famous Market Square of Kingston that has been in existence since 1846. There are numerous ways to be educated outside the classroom at one of the 17 museums in the city of Kingston. With the city's location on Lake Ontario, there are possibilities for sailing, boating and rowing. Just North of Kingston there are endless Provincial Parks for camping, hiking and Canadian experiences.

Kingston is located close to the Canada / U.S.A. border, between Toronto and Ottawa and is a short drive from other major cities.
