1. When is the application deadline?

At Queen's we conduct a rolling admission whereby as soon as your application file is complete it is reviewed and an admission decision is made. As this is a highly competitive program, we encourage you to apply early. Please note there is no application fee.

2. What is the application fee?

No fees are due until you are accepted into the program.

3. Is the GMAT a requirement?

The Queen's Executive MBA program does not initially require applicants to write the GMAT. Applicants considering our program will be evaluated on the depth of their work experience, academic background, and management/leadership skills. In some cases the GMAT may be recommended as a way to strengthen an application file.

4. How do I qualify for a scholarship?

Each applicant is considered for a number of scholarships. They are awarded on the academic merit of the applicants' file.

5. What is the difference between an Executive MBA and a regular MBA?

Queen's awards one MBA degree, offering 4 ways to earn it. The main difference is the methodology with which we deliver the Executive program. The Executive MBA is designed for people who have a number of years of work and management experience in any discipline, and who are looking to earn a Queen's MBA while they continue to work.

6. What if I didn't complete my undergraduate degree?

The Executive MBA Admissions Committee recognizes that individual applicants have unique strengths. These strengths are given special consideration during the admission process regardless of the applicant having a formal educational background. For example, applicants with extraordinary work and leadership experience may be considered for the program without having any academic credentials.

7. Is there more than one start date?

Our Executive MBA class has one intake per year, with the program starting in August each year. We receive applications and issue acceptances into the program year round.

8. What if I travel extensively?.....live outside a major city?

Our Executive MBA program is unique because it offers individuals outside major cities and those who travel extensively the ability to join our class through our specialized Virtual Boardroom Teams. The Virtual Boardroom Teams use state-of-the-art, highly interactive technology allowing you and your teammates to be connected to each other, to your professor, and to the rest of the class, with the ability to communicate directly with all of them. It is this specialized technology that provides the Queen’s Executive MBA program with participants from every region of Canada, creating a dynamic diversity.
