We will guide you through the MBA application process, taking care to respond promptly to any questions you may have along the way. We strongly encourage our applicants to arrange a visit to Queen's during the application process. Incomparable Service and Support
The Queen's MBA support staff works very hard on the details to ensure that you can remain focused on your studies.
- You will never have to stand in long lines at the bookstore. All of your textbooks, course binders and case studies will be waiting on your desk when you arrive.
- Before each class, hard copies of PowerPoint presentations will be waiting at your seat, reducing the need for note-taking. This allows you to more actively participate in the class discussion.
- After class, you may access the exclusive student web portal to download an electronic copy of the presentation, reply to e-mails, verify the schedule for the rest of the week, book a meeting room, participate in a course discussion board or even check the weather forecast.
While in the MBA program, you will work with a personal support team that includes:
- A Personal Development Coach who will work with you to help discover and develop your areas of strength.
- A Career Counsellor who will provide one-on-one assistance with your job search.
- A Team Performance Coach who will work with you and your team to ensure that you are productive, efficient and effective.
- A Personal Trainer who, if you wish, will help you develop a personal lifestyle, diet and fitness regimen.
- An Academic Advisor who will work with you to select your curriculum and structure your international exchange, if you choose to take one.
At Queen's, you will experience one of the best student-to-faculty ratios of any MBA program in Canada or abroad. You will find Queen's faculty very accessible and committed to your success, both during your time in the MBA program and throughout your career.
Goodes Hall also features a dedicated team of in-house technology support staff who are accessible during regular business hours.

MBA Games
Every January, students from more than 20 Canadian MBA programs converge on an unsuspecting Canadian city to participate in the MBA Games. This competition is a social high point of the year for many students and is the perfect venue to exhibit Queen's pride and spirit. Throughout the three-day event, each school competes in three areas: academics (case competition), athletics and team spirit. In the 2008 MBA Games, held in Hamilton, Queen's captured second place.
Social Events
Although the Queen's MBA program is intense and academically rigorous, there are numerous organized social events to provide downtime and opportunities to get to know your classmates in a more casual setting.
Life In Kingston

With a population of 141,000 people, Kingston is a thriving, small city located on the northeast shore of Lake Ontario at the source of the St. Lawrence River. It boasts a superb quality of life due to its big-city amenities, waterfront location and rich, natural landscape. Kingston is also known as the fresh water sailing capital of the world. Kingston’s eclectic downtown core offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants and cultural resources. Visitors also enjoy the waterfront walkways and 19th century buildings and homes the city has to offer. The city is centrally located within a 3-hour drive to Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa, and a 6-hour drive to New York City or Boston.
More than anything, Kingston is a university town, home three post-secondary institutions and more than 25,000 students. The majority of Queen’s MBA students live within a 15-minute walk to the School of Business eliminating the need for the time-consuming commutes associated with universities in larger urban centres. As a member of the greater Queen’s University community, you will have access to extensive student services, clubs, libraries, and comprehensive athletic facilities.
