Full-time MBA Program Structure

Management Fundamentals

Queen's MBA provides a strong foundation of management fundamentals and functions. In addition, you will be exposed to leading-edge content in the areas of leadership, strategic thinking, innovation, managing change and corporate social responsibility.

Global Perspective

The program curriculum provides a broad understanding of the global business environment, international business and cross-cultural management challenges. You will also have the opportunity to participate in exciting international student exchanges.

Integrated Cross-Functional Thinking

Because we take an integrated approach to teaching, you will develop an understanding of the impact of all business decisions across functions.

A Flexible Blend of Teaching Styles

Unlike most other schools that are wedded to a single teaching style, Queen's uses a blend of class instruction, case studies, simulations and real-world projects to create an optimal approach to learning.

Optional Pre-MBA "Warm-Up"

Queen's School of Business is pleased to offer pre-MBA "warm-up" sessions in three quantitative areas:

  • Accounting
  • Finance
  • Statistics

These not-for-credit one-day sessions are offered to incoming students on the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the week before the MBA program begins. These sessions are optional, and you may enroll in any or all of them. At a cost of $150 per session, they represent an excellent opportunity to ease your transition into the program. You may register for these sessions when you sign back your offer of admission.

Professional Designations

You may also choose to take advantage of three professional development opportunities while in the Queen's MBA program. You may earn valuable credits or exemptions toward the following designations.

  • Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
