23rd Annual Inter-Collegiate Business Competition
2001-01-17 - This past weekend, undergraduate business students from across Canada gathered in Kingston to challenge themselves and each other in the Final Round of the 23rd Annual Inter-Collegiate Business Competition (ICBC).
Twenty-six teams competed in seven different events, testing students’ knowledge by solving cases in areas ranging from Accounting to Management Information Systems. This year’s event marked the first time that students from international schools were invited to this prestigious case competition, Canada’s oldest and largest.
“ICBC offers students a unique opportunity to develop their knowledge in a competitive, challenging and exciting environment,” says Phil Connell BCom‘01, Chair of ICBC 2001. “Because it’s held at Queen’s, the Final Round also gives our BCom students the opportunity to work as volunteers.”
The Queen’s teams of Business Policy and Management Information Systems placed first in the competition, while the Queen’s School of Business Debating team placed second.
