Dr. Brent Gallupe to focus on recruiting and mentoring faculty
2003-04-01 - April 1, 2003 – KINGSTON – Management information systems professor Brent Gallupe has been appointed to the newly created position of Associate Dean, Faculty Development at Queen's School of Business.
Dr. Gallupe will lead the School’s efforts to recruit new faculty, as well as develop strategies for mentoring and managing the careers of current faculty, including promotion and tenure.
“Brent brings a great deal of enthusiasm and energy to this position and I am confident that he will be successful as he works closely with faculty in the coming year,” said Lew Johnson, Acting Dean of Queen's School of Business. “Brent is well respected at Queen's as an accomplished researcher and highly-regarded teacher and administrator.”
Dr. Gallupe is an 18-year veteran of Queen's School of Business. In addition to teaching and conducting research, he was most recently Director of Queen's Centre for Knowledge-Based Enterprises (KBE), a centre dedicated to researching the production, transmission and diffusion of knowledge in organizations. Dr. Gallupe is also the founder and Director of Queen's Executive Decision Centre, which uses electronic brainstorming technology to assist managers in public- and private-sector organizations make better decisions. Dr. Gallupe has an MBA from York University and a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.
