Queen’s Alumni Reunite for Professional Development
Over 100 alumni attended a half-day session of professional development featuring two of the School's top professors at the prestigious Carlu event facility in downtown Toronto.

On May 18, Queen’s School of Business MBA and BComm alumni, staff and faculty gathered for a morning of networking and presentations. The event saw alumni from as far back as the Commerce program in 1970 to the most recently graduated — MBAst Class of 2006.

After a networking breakfast, Professor Elspeth Murray kicked off the proceedings with her presentation on "What Should Be on Your Business Radar Screen?" Her wide-ranging and thought-provoking presentation highlighted the importance of spotting new business trends and opportunities before they gain wide public acceptance.

Professor Salman Mufti (pictured here) presented on "Strategic Decision-Making -- Blending Art, Science and Intuition,” which included an intriguing business case to demonstrate the challenges and pitfalls executives can face in business.

The event concluded with a buffet lunch that provided another great opportunity for alumni to network and catch up with former classmates.
